Thanksgiving At School

Thanksgiving at St. Pius.
Emerson and Mom attended all school mass today. Crazy to think 13 weeks ago I went the to the first all school mass the day before Emerson was born. So many things to be thankful for. During mass, Emerson was a busy girl, watching the kids, she loved the music and the attention of all the kids watching her. At the final blessing, she started to cry- Sam had not seen us yet, but I could see her. Sam was like a little prairie dog looking for her sister, with her head popped up. She was quite proud to see her little sister and she knew that cry.
After church, the kids went back to class for a bit until Thanksgiving lunch. Rob, Em and I enjoyed a full Thanksgiving Lunch at school. Sam had a big surprise for us when we arrived, she lost a tooth right after church. She wondered if the tooth fairy would come at rest time.
The picture of Samantha praying was at the end of lunch when the lunch room, says a thankful prayer before they go out to play. You could of heard a pin drop then.
Sam and her friends had a ball outside at recess. They sang the "fat turkey" song for us and were playing in the tree tunnel. What fun.

Scrapbooking

The girls celebrated mom's birthday early with a trip to Archivers last night. What a ball we had, shopping and trying things out. Emerson just talked the whole time. Sammie had an account set up in her own name so she could get coupons and her own newsletter. She was quite proud to give them her address and phone number to set it all up. Happy Birthday to me with the new "Slice" it is a way cool die cut machine. Watch out -more scrapbooking fun to come. A late night at the store- I figured a good way to start the shopping frenzy of the week. Sam is on vacation after today- she can catch up on her sleep over vacation.

Emerson

A little tummy time... working those muscles...
Taking a break

Just Em being Em- cute!

Oh mommy- do we have to take another picture?

Em's Hats

Do you like my hat?
or I have this one too?

The girls before school today-pink pink pink.

The Girls

Ang's friend Lisa and Julia, Ang and Em. Julia is 8 days older then Em. They visited from Omaha last weekend. Thank goodness for e-mail and cell phones to stay in touch. We had to sample a drink from Rob's bar- just what every new mother needs!
The two girls kind of really like each other... the stories ahead will be very interesting....

Sam's Masterpieces

Anyone got a marker?

Sam has really been enjoying school and comes home often to say she played at the art center. Usually her hands and shirts have remanants of marker marks. After school, she has notes for everyone, papers stapled together likes books, creates mail, delivers her notes to us when she gets home.

Em even had a note on top of her while snoozing in her pack and play. Sam also made notes yesterday to assign piles to mom, dad and herself of who was suppose to pick up sections in her room.

We don't go anywhere without a pen and paper. Her favorite toy right now is her little table, with plenty of paper, scotch tape, stapler and markers. She is hoping Santa brings some more staples and tape. Yesterday, she asked if mom could move a box because she saw some tape (in the gift wrap box) and thought she could use it, since she was out.

A revolt....

Em has been a bit of a stinker the last two weeks. She seems to really like her mommie, doesn't like the time of day from 3-10 p.m., and really has discovered her love of her lungs. All in all she has been doing well, but certainly expressing her personaility and a possible temper. Hmmmm....

We have found that she prefers to have a blanket over her head at times like this and no one to look at her. Funny girl.

We have a bit of catching up to do now....

Fall Fun in the Backyard...

This was obviously a few days ago, but Samantha had a blast jumping in the leaves in the backyard. We don't have many leaves because all the trees in our yard are evergreens...we import these from the neighbors tree. Emmy even got in on the fun.

Look How I Am Growing

Newborn
1 month old

2 months old and growing--- 10.5 lbs now!

Emerson and Her Teddy Bear Mobile

Emerson LOVES her mobiles. Last night she awoke us at 2:30 a.m. to her talking and cooing to her "bears" mobile. When she is really upset, the "bears" seem to work to put her in the bassinet and turn on her mobile and she is happy. Watch out though, when they turn off and you are not there to turn them back on- she will tell ya to get those bears a moving again. The pictures and video capture Emerson's little personality budding and the fun and joy she is bringing to our family.
